Ms. Esther Njau is a Partner in the firm and holds a degree in law. Ms. Esther Njau is an advocate of the High court of Tanzania. Ms. Njau has vastly experienced and well-versed with commercial law issues such as commercial contracts; corporate laws; banking law; debt recovery; loan documentation and securitization for banks and financial institutions, corporate secretarial issues, due diligence, and extensive drafting skills of various legal and statutory instruments, contracts administration and management. Ms. Njau has also been exposed to litigation in matters related to corporate compliance, corporate gover-nance, conveyance, and real estate industrial relations, employment law, and labour law.

Prior to joining Legis Attorneys, Ms. Njau worked with a high-profile law firm (Marando Manyere & Company Advocates) before joining the banking sector. As a Company Sectary of National Industrial and Commercial Bank Tanzania Limited, commonly known as NIC Bank Tanzania and formerly known as Savings and Finance Commercial Bank, Ms. Njau oversaw the restructuring process of NIC, from micro-finance to a fully-fledged bank.

In addition to these areas of expertise, Ms. Njau is a very connected and well-networked person, as she has connections with various governmental statutory bodies and institutions. She has been used by various clients to incorporate companies and Non-Government Organization.

She is a member of a number of professional bodies, including the Tanganyika Law Society and East Africa Law Society.
